Why are women so much less likely to enter professions?


Ken Jennings is an associate professor of marketing and communications at Cornell University, and author of the book, “The New Woman in the Workplace: The Role of Gender in the New Economy.”

He joins us now from New York.

Ken, thanks so much for taking the time to be with us.

It’s been an honor.

Thanks so much.

It’s been really exciting, because we’ve had a lot of really positive feedback.

And it’s not just about this book.

I’m really glad that the book has been translated into Chinese, because that’s something that we’ve really struggled with in the United States.

And I’m hoping that the Chinese government will be more supportive and willing to allow us to continue to do this work and continue to educate women in the workforce and in society.

I think one of the reasons why we have to get the word out is because women are not speaking up, in the sense that they’re being heard.

It doesn’t happen in many other countries, but the fact that we’re seeing a real effort to start to bring the conversation about how we can improve women in business and in the workplace is really inspiring.

The fact that women are speaking up is really important to us.

I appreciate it.

We’ll get to that later, but we do think that we have a very, very good opportunity to help shape the conversation.

And we’re also talking to other women who are just starting out, and we think that this book is going to be a really helpful resource for those women.

The book is a great resource for them.

They’re going to have to make sure that they take some action.

But it’s also going to provide information for people in the industry that they may not be familiar with.

It might help them to understand the basic business principles that they need to know.

I’m going to take that as a yes.

That’s good.

I agree with that.

One thing I want to talk about is that women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, as well as women in other professions, they are often underrepresented in the field because they’re not considered scientists or engineers.

Do you have any idea how many women are in these fields?

How many women in technology are doing this?

Do you have an estimate?

I think the number is probably closer to 100.

And you know, in some ways, that’s really amazing.

Because we have this very specific kind of skill set that’s being ignored.

It means that we don’t have as much time to learn about it.

It can mean that we aren’t having a very strong career or that we are having a tough time finding jobs.

I do think we have more women in STEM.

But we also have women in many of the other fields who are doing something that’s much different.

I think that it’s important to be aware of that.

And so, I think one thing we need to be really concerned about is, in particular, the fact, that, women who do this kind of work, they’re often just not considered in terms of what the work is about.

And when we’re talking about it in terms that we can actually apply and apply to other fields, that it might be more appropriate to talk to a scientist, or it might just be better to go out and have dinner with the person and say, “Hey, how are you doing?”

I think it’s really important that women, and especially women who have had an experience, understand the difference.
